How to Optimize the SEO of Your Shopify pages

Overview

People always check the title and description before opening a page on the internet. It gives them an idea about the content, helps to find the desired information quickly, and allows them to only click on credible sources.

AfterShip Page Builder users can now manage the SEO of their created pages very easily. Here’s how:

➡️ For regular and blog post pages

If you have already created pages with AfterShip Page Builder and want to add a page title along with a meta description, follow these easy steps:

Please note that you enter the settings section directly in our new editor.

  • Go to SEO settings and add your content in the Page title and Meta description fields

Try to add information as succinctly as possible because you can only add a maximum of 70 characters and 320 characters to the Page title and Meta description fields respectively.
  • Save your changes and click **Update live page **

➡️ For home, product, and collection pages

For these pages, you have to make changes in your Shopify admin.

  1. Home page

  • Click Save

  1. Product pages

Note that whatever content you mention in the Title and Description fields while adding a product, Shopify automatically uses that content for the SEO of that particular product.
  • If you want to add different SEO information, go to the bottom and click Edit website SEO to make the desired changes

  • Once done, click Save to let your changes go live

  1. Collection pages
